Senior Legal Helpline


The Senior Legal Helpline, provides free legal advice to eligible Florida residents age 60 and older, for civil (not criminal) legal problems.  

The helpline also provides:

  • solutions to seniors to help them resolve their legal problems

  • referrals to state and local regulatory agencies 

  • help finding legal providers in their communities when necessary.

Housing counseling agencies offer guidance on homebuying, renting, reverse mortgages and default and foreclosure prevention.

Homelessness & Housing Alliance (HHA) is dedicated to the elimination of homelessness. HHA believes we can create a community without homelessness by investing in long-term and cost-effective solutions that have been proven to prevent and end homelessness.

Medicare Counseling



Who We Are
SHINE (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders) is a free program offered by the Florida Department of Elder Affairs and your local Area Agency on Aging. Specially trained volunteers can assist you with your Medicare, Medicaid, and health insurance questions by providing one-on-one counseling and information. SHINE services are free, unbiased, and confidential.

The SHINE program supports the Florida Department of Elder Affairs’ mission by providing free and unbiased health insurance counseling through a dedicated network of volunteers, empowering Florida seniors to make informed health care choices.

Mesothelioma Veterans Center

In the 1980s, over 40% of veterans worked in industries that posed a risk of asbestos exposure. While victims affected by asbestos-related diseases already have to endure physical and emotional hardships, many are forced to worry about the financial burden as well. There are a variety of VA benefits available for veterans who have been diagnosed with mesothelioma.
