Position Title:                            Personnel Technician

Location:                                    Administrative Office - FWB

Immediate Supervisor:            Executive Director

Major Responsibilities:

To Work cooperatively with Management to assure that personnel issues comply with state and federal laws.  To act as liaison for Management and Staff to promote a healthy work environment.


  1. Maintain updated library of Procedures, Manuals, Regulations and Laws pertaining to all facets of employment.

  2. Be able to reference or research information as needed or as directed by Executive Assistant.

  3. Monitor and maintain logical filing system that is accurate and detailed.

  4. Responsible for collecting appropriate data, filing Initial Report of Injury, and follow up of worker's compensation claims.  All claims are to be reported to Executive Assistant prior to calling report into insurance company.  Prepare statistical reports quarterly or as requested.

  5. Reconcile appropriate insurance invoices.  Make corrections as necessary.

  6. Responsible for establishing all personnel files.

  7. Responsible for notifying IT Department of all appropriate personal record changes.

  8. Maintain data base for statistical information.  

  9. Be available to assist staff as needed.

  10. Assure absolute confidentiality.  Secure all records.

  11. Other duties ass assigned.


Has an AA Degree in Personnel Management, Business Administration or a related filed.  Is Proficient with Word Processing and Data Base Development.  Has a good working knowledge of personnel issues and regulations.  

Special Requirement:

Individual is highly motivated with close attention to detail and accuracy.  Must be able to work cooperatively with Management Staff as well as work independently with little or no supervision.   Must demonstrate ability to learn and process information and procedures quickly.   Possess good communication skills and be able to address staff issues with sincere commitment to resolution.
