The Okaloosa County Council on Aging began some in-home care services in 1977. Since that time we have grown and expanded. ​

We are a licensed Home Health Agency, providing non-medical services to the frail, at-risk, or recuperating persons in the preferred setting and comfort of their own home.

What We Can Do

Case Management is a client centered service in which needs are identified and a plan of services is developed to address these needs in the preferred setting of the home. ​

Personal Care can provide assistance with bathing, dressing, ambulation and eating. ​

Respite Care provides an opportunity for caregivers to rest, run errands, or otherwise be relieved from the continued care of loved ones who are functionally impaired. ​ ​

Homemaking provided to assist with housekeeping, laundry, simple meal planning/preparation, and monitoring of home to remove fall or safety hazards. ​

Companionship Care provides one-on-one interaction with vulnerable adults who reside alone and do not have family or community support

Other support services may include:

  • Shopping assistance for groceries, medications etc.
  • Escort services to and from health care providers
  • Personal care assistance with shampooing, bathing and grooming assistance.

    Executive Administrator

    Kim was appointed to the Executive Director Position in May of 2019. Prior to this appointment she was the Assistant Director for the organization as well as the Facility Director at Twin Cities Pavilion. Kim started in the main office in 1980 and has helped to develop us into the success that we are.

    1925-2019

    In Memoriam

    Known to all as Mrs. Lovejoy, she was the vision behind our organization. Ruth worked tirelessly everyday, until her death, to create an entity that would help the under served elderly population in Okaloosa county. She was 93 at the time of her passing.
    Ms. Lovejoy will be greatly missed

    Fiscal Director

    Lee has served as the Fiscal Director since 1989. She helped to build the organization and is an integral part of our organization.

    Pam joined our team in 1991. Pam handles payroll, billing, supplies, and steps in when positions are empty. She's a true asset!

    Tammy assumed the responsibilities as Program Supervisor of Elder Home Care Home Health. Her caring approach makes clients feel comfortable and relaxed during the most challenging times. She is responsible for intake, arranging for non-skilled services and performing follow-up for quality assurance.
